OpTic Gaming is gearing up to compete at the most prestigious Dota 2 tournament of the year: The International 8. Ahead of the event kicking off next week, the organisation has announced a Dota-specific sponsor in the form of VKGame.
Their exclusive esports betting partner, OpTic Gaming’s Dota team will don a VKGame-emblazoned jersey and will feature on the betting platform’s website. Currently, VKGame promotes its services to Southeast Asia — an area OpTic Gaming recently expanded into by signing content creators. A collection of these new jerseys will be available for OpTic Gaming fans to purchase in the near future.
VKGame offers betting on a bunch of popular esports titles, including Dota 2, League of Legends, Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, and PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds. Overall, OpTic Gaming is sponsored by SCUF Gaming, DXRacer, and Turtle Beach.
The International 8 takes place over Aug. 15-25 at the Rogers Arena in Vancouver, Canada. 18 teams, including OpTic Gaming, will be competing in an effort to claim a good portion of the $24 million (and growing) prize pool.
